I had an overall decent stay at Ibis Cardiff Centre. The location was superb, just a stone's throw from events at the Motorpoint Arena and close to shopping. However, I found the breakfast options to be limited compared to other Ibis hotels, which was a bit disappointing. Also, my room, while generally clean, had a few issues—like uncomfortable pillows that led to some neck pain. Despite these drawbacks, the friendly staff really made me feel welcomed during my visit. 😊

I had a mixed experience during my stay at Ibis Cardiff Centre. The hotel's location was fantastic for attending a concert since it was just a short walk to the venue. However, the noisy environment from nearby train tracks and rowdy guests disrupted my sleep. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, but the dining options, particularly breakfast, left much to be desired. Overall, it's a decent choice for a short stay, especially for events, but not for a luxury escape. 🎶😴

The hotel’s location was superb, a short walk to the concert venue and city center, but the noise from trains in the morning was disruptive.
Dining

Breakfast options were disappointing; I encountered an empty fruit bowl and poorly cooked hot items that weren’t worth the price.

The foyer and bar area were updated and modern, yet the compact dining space felt overcrowded during peak hours.

I recently stayed at the Ibis Cardiff Centre for a couple of nights. The location was ideal, being close to the city centre and event venues like the Motorpoint Arena. The room itself was clean and had a comfortable bed, but I faced some issues with noise from the ensuite bathroom door and a warm room that the air conditioning couldn't quite fix. Overall, while the hotel was affordable and had a decent breakfast selection, there were aspects that could use improvement.

The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable, which aided my restful night. However, I encountered a noisy ensuite bathroom door that disrupted my partner's sleep when he used it during the night. Additionally, the room felt warm, and the air conditioning didn't seem to help much.

Location

The hotel's location is ridiculously convenient, situated near shops, train stations, and the city centre, which made it easy to explore Cardiff. It's also close to event venues, a plus if you're attending concerts or events like I was.
Dining

Breakfast offered a standard buffet with a fair variety of options, including cereals, fruits, and pastries. Although I wasn't impressed by the cooked items, there was plenty to choose from, and it was good value for money.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel had modern facilities, but the dining area could be a bit cramped during busy times. Also, I wished there were options for better cooling in the warmer months. Nevertheless, I appreciated the quick response to issues.

My recent stay at Ibis Cardiff Centre had its ups and downs. The staff were friendly and attentive, making check-in a breeze. However, the room I received was quite disappointing—worn-out carpets and a lack of decor left a lot to be desired. The breakfast was a silver lining, offering a good variety, but the room definitely feels like it’s in need of an overhaul.

I found the room rather shabby, with worn carpets and stained walls. The pod-style bathroom felt cramped, and there was a view of dirty laundry out of the window. It did not feel inviting at all, especially considering the price I paid.
Service

The staff were genuinely welcoming and responsive, addressing my concerns about the room and providing a breakfast reduction. Their capability under pressure was evident after an event.

I enjoyed the breakfast, which offered a decent variety of options, although some items were a bit overcooked. However, I felt breakfast should be included in the price.

While the hotel provides essential services, my room was on the smaller side and lacked a safe. However, I did appreciate the free water available in the lobby, adding a nice touch.

I had a mixed experience at Ibis Cardiff Centre. The friendly staff really stood out and made me feel welcome, but my room left much to be desired in terms of cleanliness. While the location was convenient for attending a concert at the Motorpoint Arena, the state of the room impacted my overall enjoyment of the stay.
